Morristown, New Jersey Law Firm Frequently Asked Questions Videos
How do New Jersey personal injury lawyers get paid?
When you are in an accident, if you are a victim of a fall down or a product that has been defective that has injured you, or a medical malpractice case, we take those on a contingent basis. That means that we are only paid if we collect money for you, so you do not have to take it out of your check book. In almost every case, we actually advance the cost because we make the decision beforehand whether or not the case is viable.
We are not a large firm. We are not a smaller firm either but we are selective to make sure that we only take those cases that we feel will have a successful outcome for the client, and when we make that decision, we advance those costs and then at the end of the case those costs are reimbursed, and then the fee is taken from the recovery hat in the case with the most cases, the client recovering two thirds of that.
