If you have the unfortunate experience of being stopped for suspected drunken driving in New Jersey, you may be subject to the use of new, controversial, and possibly flawed, investigation technology: the Alcotest.

A recent bill, introduced to the New Jersey state legislature in January 2014, has the potential to bring about significant changes in the ways first-time DWI offenders are punished and treated.
PALIMONY IS A COMPLEX ISSUE IN NEW JERSEY
If two people have been in a long-term relationship but were never married, the issue of palimony may arise when they decide to split. Similar to alimony in divorce cases, this could occur if the couple separates and one former partner requests financial support from the other.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CONTESTED AND UNCONTESTED DIVORCE
In most states, there are two types of divorce: uncontested and contested. The type of divorce filed can dictate the residency requirements, separation prerequisites, court costs, and amount of time spouses must wait between filing for divorce and receiving their divorce decree.

Marriage is not only a romantic pairing – it is also an economic contract, meaning that all of the couple’s possessions, assets and debt are legally owned by both parties. When a couple chooses to divorce, one necessary order of business is to divide and distribute those assets in a way that’s fair for both spouses.

On April 3, 2014, in Florence Township, a construction worker fell through the roof of a commercial building and into wet cement, summoning Burlington County rescue crews to the scene.
