JULY 4TH BRINGS INCREASED THREAT OF DRUNK-DRIVING ACCIDENTS

July 4th is a time for celebration, relaxation, and a much-needed respite from the demands of our everyday lives. The extended holiday weekend provides us with time to take a short vacation, attend parties and other events, or host our own gatherings with family and friends. Unfortunately, the increased activity on New Jersey roadways, coupled with the prevalence of alcohol during July 4th festivities, creates a dangerous combination that may lead to car accidents caused by drunk driving.

NEW JERSEY STATE POLICE REPORTS FATAL CRASHES FOR YEAR TO DATE

The New Jersey State Police accumulates data each year related to fatal crashes on state roadways, providing a mid-year report with comparative analysis against the previous year. According to the most recent data provided by the New Jersey State Police, there have been 236 fatal crashes so far this year, which resulted in 247 fatalities.
