NEW WAVE OF LAWSUITS CONNECTED TO DRUG CAUSING PERMANENT HAIR LOSS

Chemotherapy as a cancer treatment often results in hair loss. In fact, hair loss is so commonplace that charities now accept hair donations and companies manufacture fashion wigs for cancer patients. Patients believe that after surviving chemotherapy and curing their cancer, hair will regrow. However, a new wave of lawsuits has recently mounted against a pharmaceutical company who failed to warnpatients of the risk of permanent baldness associated with their chemotherapy drug, Taxotere. 

THE EFFECTS OF PRE-EXISTING INJURIES ON PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS

Often times in personal injury cases, a plaintiff may face opposition from a defendant’s insurance company based on a preexisting injury. Although a plaintiff is unable to collect damages for a condition existing prior to an incident causing an injury, that plaintiff may obtain damages for physical or mental conditions exacerbated by the incident.
